Terms of Service
Effective: September 23, 2026 · Last updated: September 23, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Funeral Workforce and funeralworkforce.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Funeral Workforce provides
Funeral Workforce is a specialized employment marketplace for funeral-service professionals and employers. The Service may include candidate profiles, employer profiles, job postings, applications, private documents, messaging, interview scheduling, hiring-status tools, notifications, employer or credential verification features, and administrative support.
Funeral Workforce is a technology platform. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we are not an employer, staffing agency, professional licensing authority, background-check provider, or representative of a candidate or employer.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You may use the Service only if you are legally permitted to enter into these Terms and to use an employment marketplace where you live. You must provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials confidential, and promptly update information that becomes inaccurate.
You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not share passwords, recovery links, or authentication codes. Contact Funeral Workforce if you believe an account has been compromised.
3. Candidate responsibilities
Candidates are responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of their profiles, résumés, applications, credentials, licenses, education, experience, and other submitted information. You must have the right to upload and share any document or content you submit. Do not falsely claim a license, certification, qualification, employment history, or identity.
4. Employer responsibilities
Employers must have authority to act for the organization they represent. Job postings must describe genuine employment opportunities and must be accurate, lawful, and maintained in good faith. Employers are responsible for complying with employment, anti-discrimination, wage-and-hour, licensing, privacy, and other laws that apply to their recruiting and hiring activities.
Employer verification or approval by Funeral Workforce is an access-control and trust feature; it is not a guarantee, endorsement, insurance policy, or legal certification of an employer.
5. Marketplace information and verification
Funeral Workforce may display verification states for employers or professional credentials. Verification reflects only the scope of the review actually performed and may become outdated. Users remain responsible for conducting whatever independent checks are appropriate before making employment, hiring, credentialing, compensation, relocation, or other decisions.
Funeral Workforce does not guarantee that any job remains available, that any candidate will be hired, that any applicant is qualified, or that information supplied by another user is complete or current.
6. Applications, messages, and interviews
The Service allows candidates and employers to exchange hiring information. Users are responsible for their own communications and decisions. Interview scheduling, application status, and hiring status shown in the Service are workflow records and do not create an employment contract or other legal obligation between users.
Email notifications are a convenience. Important information remains available in the Service, and delivery can be delayed or fail. Users should not rely on email alone for time-sensitive hiring obligations.
7. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Funeral Workforce a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service and to make your content available to the users you choose to interact with.
You must not submit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, malicious, or that violates another person’s privacy or rights.
8. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- use the Service for fake jobs, scams, deceptive recruiting, identity theft, credential fraud, or unlawful discrimination;
- scrape, harvest, sell, or misuse candidate or employer information;
- attempt to bypass access controls, view another user’s private information, probe security weaknesses, or interfere with the Service;
- upload malware or harmful content, automate abusive requests, or use the Service to send spam;
- impersonate another person or organization; or
- use information obtained through Funeral Workforce for purposes unrelated to legitimate employment, recruiting, hiring, support, or administration of the Service.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Funeral Workforce handles personal information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that information will be processed as described there.
10. Pilot features, changes, and fees
Some features may be offered as pilots, previews, or free services while Funeral Workforce is being developed. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. If paid features are introduced, pricing and any additional terms will be presented before you are charged.
11. Suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, investigate suspected misuse, respond to legal requirements, or enforce these Terms. Where appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue. Users may delete their own account through Account Settings, subject to records that must be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Funeral Workforce intellectual property
The Service, including its software, branding, design, and original content supplied by Funeral Workforce, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Funeral Workforce intellectual property to users.
13. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and communications providers. Their availability can affect the Service. Links to third-party websites or services are provided for convenience and do not make Funeral Workforce responsible for those third parties.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Funeral Workforce does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation and does not warrant the accuracy of user-submitted content, the suitability of any candidate or employer, or the outcome of any application or hiring process.
Nothing on the Service is legal, licensing, tax, employment, human-resources, or other professional advice.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Funeral Workforce will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, data, or business arising from use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required by law or when a change is material. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
17. Applicable law
You must use the Service in compliance with all laws that apply to you. Any rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law remain unaffected by these Terms.
18. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the Funeral Workforce business contact used in your account or support communications. As the Service grows, we may publish additional contact information here.
